Atelier Ananda is a luxury leather goods brand built on handcrafted production. I designed the brand identity and have worked across the full scope of the business for six years: packaging, product artwork, die cutting files, photography direction, and sub-brand development.
The identity needed to hold its own against established leather houses while reflecting how the pieces are actually made. I built it around restraint. Clean mark, considered typography, a colour palette that recedes behind the materials. The brand frames the leather.
Material applications carry the identity further than screen work could. Swing tags are blind-debossed on heavy stock. Leather tags are laser-cut from offcuts of the same hides used in the products. Packaging uses uncoated board with a single-colour foil. I specified material choices at the same level of care as the products themselves, from bag to tag.
The relationship has grown to include Huntsman collaboration materials and supporting the launch of sub-brands, each with their own identity but connected to the parent through shared production values.
